Doves for Love
About The
Birds
![]()
Thank
you for your interest in our dove release service. Your wedding is a very important day and we
would like to make it your special day.

Our
white birds are trained homing pigeons.
There are hundreds of varieties of doves. Pigeons or otherwise known as “Rock Doves”
are one of the varieties that we use for our ceremonies. Within the dove family there is the smaller
variety that you may have considered for your ceremony. The smaller white doves are easily available
in pet stores. The smaller doves are
untrained and do not know how to survive in wild and will seldom survive for
more than 90 days foraging for themselves.
The smaller white doves are available for display only by White Dove.

Of
all the different varieties of doves only the Homing Pigeon has the unique
ability to be trained and reliably return to their home after being released at
an event. Their training is time
consuming and costly. The larger Homing
pigeons that we use start their extensive training at 45 days of age, and
continue daily training for up to 1 year before they are considered for
ceremonial release. These birds have the
ability to travel up to 500 miles in one day.
Our birds are feed the best food, vitamins and get the best medical care
for their long lives. The life span of
one of our birds can be up to 20 years.

We would like to help you make your day the best day ever by being flexible to your suggestions and as well as make suggestions. For an indoor wedding, the photographer and guests are escorted outside to a decorative area such as the steps of the church, courtyard, or flower garden. The photographer and guests are instructed to have their cameras ready for the moment the birds are to be released. A presentation/explanation of the symbolism of the dove and how that would tie into the commitment of marriage and sanctity of matrimony can be done by one of our coordinators or by a person of your choice. The presentations may be up to 2 minutes long. The doves may be released by hand of the bride and groom, a heart-shaped basket, or a round decorative birdcage that opens from the top. The round-shaped bird cage may also be used as a decorative display with the smaller white dove inside. The birds are then released. The birds tend to circle for a moment then fly home as a couple. You may want to incorporate music at the time of release.

Our
beautiful white doves return to their home after each ceremony. We do not jeopardize their health or safety
by releasing them in extreme weather conditions. We are blessed to have sunny skies in

Our
goal is to make your day a memorable one.
Please contact us as soon as possible to set in a date for a
release. We would like to meet you in
person before finalizing a ceremony.
Thank
you for your interest.
